ACE-EX działa w kontekście, w którym innowacje w rolnictwie odgrywają kluczową rolę w reagowaniu na wyzwania stawiane przez zmiany klimatyczne i potrzebę ochrony różnorodności biologicznej. Obecna metoda produkcji rolnej musi w pełni wykorzystywać produkty uboczne i wymaga przejścia na bardziej zrównoważony system. Prognozy podkreślają pilną potrzebę działania: do 2050 r. brak zmiany obecnych metod produkcji może również przełożyć się na śmierć wielu osób każdego roku. W obliczu szybkich zmian technologicznych i klimatycznych niezbędne jest ciągłe podnoszenie kwalifikacji osób pracujących w branży. ACE-EX podkreśla znaczenie Gospodarki o Obiegu Zamkniętym, praktyki stosowanej w rolnictwie i przemyśle oraz siły napędowej szkoleń zawodowych. Jest to zgodne z planem działania dotyczącym gospodarki o obiegu zamkniętym i celami Europejskiego Zielonego Ładu, promując zrównoważony i pełen szacunku wzrost gospodarczy. 📢 The ACE-EX training enters the testing phase.
In this video from the Brno international meeting, Carmen Fusilli, Project Manager at the ITS Foundation for Life Sciences and coordinator of the ACE-EX – Agriculture Circular Economy Expert project (co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme), outlines what comes next as the pilot phase begins in August 2025.
🧪 The learning tools — including online courses, in-person training, a Serious Game and Virtual Reality modules — will be tested in six countries: Italy, Spain, Norway, Greece, Poland and Ukraine.
There will be two pilot formats:
👉 training delivered by educational providers to students
👉 MOOC-based upskilling and reskilling for workers, NEETs and young entrepreneurs, promoted by Chambers of Commerce, research centres and industry associations.
🌍 A coordinated, international effort to validate and improve innovative learning materials for future circular economy experts in agriculture.

Strong turnout at the "Circular Economy in Agricultural Practice" national conference hosted by Czech partners Střední průmyslová škola chemická a gymnázium as part of day two of the ACE-EX Design Meeting.
🎯 The conference introduced the Agriculture Circular Economy Expert project to Czech stakeholders, bringing together local industry professionals, agricultural practitioners, and educational institutions to explore practical sustainability strategies.
🌍 Central theme: Bridging European research from the Erasmus+ ACE-EX project with Czech agricultural market needs, developing skills for tomorrow's "Agricultural Circular Economy Expert" through innovative training pathways, VR modules, and recognised microcredentials.
📋 Programme highlights included project presentations, networking sessions between European partners, and discussions on implementing circular economy principles in agriculture and food production, alongside developing free educational programmes for schools, professionals, and citizens.

🥽🎮 Yesterday in Brno: ACE-EX partners experienced the future of agricultural training firsthand!
At yesterday's Design Meeting, all project partners got exclusive access to the groundbreaking tools developed by Software Studios, ACE-EX's technical partner: VR modules and a Serious Game set to transform circular economy education in agriculture.
🌱 The Serious Game breakthrough: A browser-based farming simulator that turns learning into an engaging experience. As Valentino Megale from Software Studios explains: "It's a way to motivate people to step outside their comfort zone and learn the foundations of this essential strategy for the future.”
🚜 Become a virtual farmer: Manage wine, hemp, and oil resources using circular economy principles, balance profit with long-term sustainability, and grow your agricultural business - all through a simple browser link, no downloads required.
🔬 Two immersive VR experiences captivated the partners: 🔹 Water purification processes: Explore physical and chemical processes like reverse osmosis that are typically invisible to learners 🔹 Transformation laboratory: Convert corn into PLA (3D printing material) through gamified interactions.
💡 The vision: "People can learn by doing, but remotely. Thanks to technology's flexibility, they can learn from wherever they are," emphasizes Megale.
